Finding women living with HIV through outreach for providing various services, network forging with like-minded stakeholders for strengthening advocacy in all levels and sharing and exchanging experiences and ideas through active learning.

Building up capacity of women living with HIV in different states which would in turn collectively constitute high performing state networks.

Addressing the issue of poor financial status of women living with HIV in detail, the focus is on financial empowerment, enhancing livelihood options through existing national, state level government and non-governmental mechanisms and provisions. It will trigger improved participation and involvement of women living with HIV at grass root level in India.

Materializing qualitative changes in policies, program and practices covering the women and children living with HIV in India to be tailor-made in enhancing their living conditions and addressing their issue based needs in HIV prevention, treatment, care and support. To bring about changes and fulfilling this end, adopting advocacy as a prime strategy for influencing, pressurizing the decision making process of government in policy level.

Bringing together women living with HIV as an organization and movement by concerted and orchestrated efforts/actions, thoughts/reflections and through participation and making solutions creating models of support for women through action research, which is in turn, generates a knowledge base.

PWN+ Strategic Directions have been identified based on its strategy 2006-2016, as well as the agreed health priorities and business needs for the next ten years.
Community Building
To build an active national network of women living with HIV/AIDS representing the different states, diverse support groups and collectives from rural, urban and tribal areas.
Enabling Environment
To work towards the social integration of women living with HIV/IADS in all sectors at district, state and national level, and advocate for inclusive policies and programmers.
Providing Information
To improve transmission of information on HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support to women living with and vulnerable to HIV/AIDS.
Access to services
To improve access to services for women living with HIV/AIDS in the areas of counseling, treatment, and general health care and drug rehabilitation.
Promoting and protecting right of Women living with HIV
To work towards the protection of human rights of women living with HIV/AIDS in all settings – domestic, community, medical, employment, educational, political, religious and legal spheres.
Economic Empowerment
To provide affirmative action for women living with HIV/AIDS in the area of livelihood, employment, vocational training and credit inputs.
Promote social security and right of children infected / affected by HIV
To ensure social security and rights of children infected / affected by HIV in all settings – domestic, community, medical, educational, political, religious and legal spheres.
